Day 9

I started my day with two glasses of water on an empty stomach then had my cup of coffee (1 tsp of Nescafe, 3 tsp of fat free coffee mate, 2 tsp of sugar) followed by 30g of Bran flakes with a glass of skimmed milk!

Three hours later  I had a snack made of one kiwi fruit with 6 almonds. I like this combination, it really tastes good and is undoubtedly extremely beneficial!

For lunch i had a colorful iceberg salad with 15 g shredded cheddar cheese and raddish with a lemon mustard dressing; 1 lightly cooked chicken leg and one small baked potato with moutarde a l’ancienne dressing!

As an afternoon snack i had two scoops of Zucchini Sorbet that I had prepared on Thursday for my TV episode that was all about zucchinis and its “outside the box” recipes!

In my country (Lebanon) there’s a familiar story about zucchini ice cream or “bouza 3a koussa”(in Arabic); a little boy goes everyday to the ice cream seller at the corner of the street where he lives and asks him if he sells zucchini ice cream.Surprised, the seller responds by No the first couple of days then a week later, when the little boy kept on visiting the seller and asking him the same question everyday, the seller decided to lie to the little boy and respond with: Yes’ The next day when the little boy showed up and asked about the zucchini ice cream the seller responded with a YES and surprisingly the little boy replied with a BEUKK!!!

This story unconsciously pushed all the Lebanese to have a strong dislike towards the idea of eating zucchini ice cream! Therefore, i decided to prepare it and prove everyone wrong! Zucchini sorbet can be very tasty, refreshing and healthy 😉 A couple of my friends have tried it and loved it! They will support this post with their comments !

My dinner consisted of 3 slices of turkey diced with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, oregano with a teaspoon of olive oil and lemon juice. In addition to three bran toasts with 2 tbsp of low fat labneh!I was really hungry after my workout at the gym!
