Day 12

I started my day with two glasses of water on an empty stomach then had my cup of coffee (1 tsp of Nescafe, 3 tsp of fat free coffee mate, 2 tsp of sugar).Followed by an omelette made of 1 whole egg with 4 egg whites and 30 g of low fat cheese!(That’s the smart trick with eggs! Substituting one whole egg with egg whites provides the same volume with less calories and fat)!

I ate it with tomatoes, 1 tsp of low fat labneh, cucumbers and 3 olives!

Many studies have found that eating protein-rich eggs for breakfast helps manage hunger throughout the day! I go along with those studies since my breakfast prevented me from finishing my lunch meal! I wasn’t feeling hungry and barely had half of it!

6 small baked fish in the oven with 3 tbsp of hummus and romaine lettuce with 15 g of shredded Roquefort cheese with capers lemon juice and olive oil!

As an afternoon snack i couldn’t have anything else but a cup of coffee with skimmed milk and sugar!

At night I had half of Crepaway’s SALSALADA’s salad (removed the olives and tortilla sticks) with balsamic dressing and had around 7 nachos with guacamole&sour creme.

Did I forget to mention the quarter of a mozarella stick that i stole from someones plate ?

Too much of something is bad enough! Just as Voltaire once said “Neither abstinence nor excess ever rendered man happy”. Thus moderation should always be the key even when it comes to eating out! I might not have made the perfect dietetic choice at night, and that’s because i am not on a diet, however i managed to eat in moderation foods i was craving for and most importantly shared the portions !!
