“You can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.”
Walter Duranty
My post-gym dinner was an omelet made of 1 whole egg with 4 egg whites! (That’s the smart trick with eggs! Substituting one whole egg with egg whites to provide the same volume with less calories and fat)!
A medium sized egg has 75 calories of which 60 are provided by the yolk and only 15 by the whites. The egg yolk has all the fat soluble vitamins(A,D,E) in addition to all the fat and a little proteins.
I ate my omelet with tomatoes, 1 tsp of low fat labneh, cucumbers and 3 olives!
What we do with the yolk of not used ?
Either leave it to prepare some types of deserts (for the rest of the family) that only require egg yolks or get rid of it ..
