Just like every day, i started my day with two glasses of water on an empty stomach then had my cup of coffee (1 tsp of Nescafe, 3 tsp of fat free coffee mate, 2 tsp of sugar) followed by two tablespoon of low fat labneh, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers,one black olive, olive oil, 3 brown toasts and a glass of skimmed milk!
Another misconception among the Lebanese population is the way drinking milk is suddenly stopped after the age of 18 due to the ignorance of the fact that, our daily calcium requirements increase with age.And that, several studies have found that milk and milk derivatives assist weight loss and maintain bone mass since a glass of milk or yogurt in the morning helps increase satiety and thus decreases the caloric intake by 9% at the next meal.In addition to that, dieters who took 3 to 4 servings of milk or yogurt and labneh while dieting have burnt more fat compared to their counterparts who didn’t.
Don’t skip your glass of milk in the morning and go for low fat Labneh more often!
My first snack consisted of a glass of fresh orange juice!
I started my lunch with a salad made of lettuce, green thyme, mint, yellow peppers, tomatoes, green onions with sumac, pomegranate molasses and lemon juice!Then had a bowl of chicken soup with vegetables!
As an afternoon snack i had a bowl of homemade fruits salad!
As for tonight, ill be enjoying a cheese and wine.. stay tuned to learn how you can enjoy cheeses, wine and everything else related to it in moderation 😉
