At a certain point in my life, I decided to stop eating red meat and I did for almost a year… Then I realized it was okey to have red meat occasionally and that’s when I got acquainted with the word #flexitarian
To cut the story short, I mixed 120g of lean meat with an egg yolk, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce and 1 teaspoon mustard, added black pepper and Maldon salt. Then I pan-fried it using cooking spray then continued cooking it in the oven…
I served those patties on a homemade sourdough bread because it is more nutritious, more digestible and more natural than regular bread
Topped with mustard, homemade dill pickles, onions and served with a salad made of lettuce leaves, diced tomatoes, avocado mixed with goat cheese and black sesame seeds.
I simply added a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar to my salad and really enjoyed this meal !
For Keto lovers; omit the bread and include an additional patty or two!
Red meat is an excellent source of proteins and minerals; it is highly recommended not to consume more than 500g of red meat per week!
During this confinement period or during your post-COVID-19 recovery period try focusing on natural foods; they are simply the best in terms of nutrition, taste and flavor!
